Business Incubator Pilot

The Community Development Program (CDP) Business Incubator Pilot is program funded by the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA). The Business Incubator Program works with CDP clients who would like to develop their own business idea or with an existing small business, already operating in the Kullarri region that wishes to expand and develop.
The Business Incubator Pilot provides the following main areas of support:

  • Access to culturally appropriate services;
  • Business coaching and mentoring;
  • Back-end administrative services including workspace for start-ups (bookkeeping, legal, regulatory and licensing);
  • Provide relevant business training, including developing business literacy skills;
  • Digital support (including web hosting, email, merchant services, online marketplaces);
  • Support for business and product development processes (including branding, product design and testing, intellectual property considerations, marketing strategies and market testing);
  • Links to capital sources;
  • Business transition and sustainability planning.

The Business Incubator Pilot has a dedicated Business Development Officer who works with participants on the journey of developing an initial business idea to turning that into a functioning and sustainable business.
